What an embarrassing thing to go to the doctor for

I posted yesterday asking if this was a pregnancy symptom but I think it’s something else. I guess I’m gonna go to the doctor for it but for some reason I find this more embarrassing than I would if I had something wrong down stairs and needed to see a gyno and I don’t know why.

My nipples are red, swollen, and elongated like they’ve been pulled out of the areola. You can tell a difference between the tannish normal color and then the bright red swollen nipples. It’s like they’re turning into blisters. Nothing else but the nipples themselves and they don’t even look like my nipples anymore they look deformed. I won’t post a picture but I just want to ask if this has happened to anyone before. It’s just embarrassing that I have to go to the doctor and show them my nipples. God 😭

Edit: to add, I don’t have kids and really have no idea on earth why this would happen. But it’s really awful and it’s making me really sad
