How do I ask my boyfriend difficult questions?

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year, and I still haven’t asked him the more serious questions like, “do you want kids?” “do you see us married?” And while it may seem too early, I at least want to know what his ideal life would be because if he doesn’t want kids I don’t know what I would do... I also don’t want it to be super awkward. Help

I asked those questions within weeks of dating. It’s about being comfortable and if you’re scared with those questions, what else are you uncomfortable with after so long together? Just rip off the bandaid and say “hey I realized we never talked about the future where do you stand with __?”

Hey! It’s definitely not too early and it’s actually really good to talk about more serious things in your relationship. It may be hard to bring those questions up but through small things it can be a lot easier. For example bringing up anything to do with the subject first is really helpful. If you want to take things slow start by building up the conversation from one question or statement to another. If you want to ask a question about if your partner wants a kid or how many they want you can just start the conversation off by saying what was your favorite child hood memory or you can even ask if they have ever babysit someone’s kid/s etc...
