Pumping for work, amount?

How many oz do you ladies pump a day while at work? I’m leaving my 4.5 month baby for the first time and going to work and I want to make sure I pump enough milk for him. I have a pretty good stash in the freezer so I’m not worried about not having enough for him initially but I want to make sure I can maintain what he needs. I’ll be dropping him off at 8:30 and picking him up at 5:30.

The lactation consultant said to plan to pump about 1 oz. for every hour you are away from baby.

If your lo eats 17oz per day you have 76&1/2 days stored up already. Not including what you will be replacing each day as you pump at work. Your going to be okay mama

I am away from her between 12 and 4hrs on work days. She eats on a long day 15-17oz. I have trouble at this point (4m in) keeping up with her. I am able to get 12oz out of a 12hour day. I am usually at 1-2oz underproduced. That I have to somehow make up when I’m home. Good luck

I try to pump every three hours (so 3 times during the work day), usually get 12 oz total... sometimes only 10 and sometimes up to 15

Do you have a stash of milk saved? I pump at work just to keep my milk flow. I have a huge stash I put from.. when I feed my baby I use my haaka and just save that.

Plan on pumping every 3 hours. You should be able to pump the same amount baby eats while you are away, usually about 1-1.5 oz per hour
