Tips with the Lena cup on first period?

Hi ladies, I’m trying period cups for the first time this cycle. Any tips and tricks to get adjusted quickly?

I fold mine into the middle and then in half if that makes sense. RELAX!!! It took me about 4 months before I could actually get it in without being uncomfortable but now that I can, it’s amazing! I barely feel like I’m on my period for at least 5 hours. Definitely buy a specialized soap for it or don’t wear it for your entire period.

I have found great success and comfort using the punch down method. I do this while sitting on the toilet and having a stool underneath to place myself in a squatting position. The punch down method gives you the smallest diameter to be able to insert the cup in the most comfortable way. There are other methods as well so play around with what works best for you. After you’ve inserted the cup, you should twist it around so that it can completely expand. Feel around the base or edges of the cup to make sure there are no dents in the cup, if there are, the cup is not properly in place. Twist it around till all the edges feel full and rounded.
