Is this the start of thrush?

This is my 3 week olds tongue. I’ve noticed the last couple nights he’s been a little more frustrated with feeding (not terrible) and my nipples are becoming more sensitive again and I will sometimes feel random sharp pains in them. I want to catch it before it gets worse.

My daughters tongue has always looked like this, when I took her in thinking it was thrush, he assured me it’s actually from sucking so hard. It’s almost like a callus

If you cannot wipe it off it may be the start of thrush, check cheeks and back of throat as well-if it’s on cheeks too then most likely thrush.

Protein build up on the tongue, take a soft wash cloth or soft baby tooth brush and rub gently.

I'm having the exact same thing happen. Curious to see what others say but through all my googling it didnt seem like it was.
