Really scared- husband alcohol poisoning

I'm sitting here in the emergency waiting rooms absolutely terrified. My husband came home from his once in a blue moon drinks with work buddies absolutely smashed.

He spent a bit of time in the bathroom, which last happened some years ago. But then he started sounding like he was inhaling his vomit.

I struggled to get him to dress (he kept saying he just wants to die) and I literally had to drag him out the house on a blanket. He crawled into the car.

He had almost completely passed out by the time we reached the hospital and he just kept saying he doesn't feel well.

The nurse says he'll be OK but it's really really scary for me. I've never seen him in such a bad state.

*They've given him a Jet Fuel drip and a drip for nausea. They're waiting for the blood test results to show what his levels are. They've also ordered an x-ray of his stomach once he's sober but I'm hoping we can bypass that as I feel it's going to be a really long time until he's sober and it's nearly 01:00. He was drinking whiskey and tequila so I don't think it's that he drank too much in quantity, just drank too high alcohol content beverages.
