Bring Your Bible to School Day
So, they ‘celebrate’ this at my kids’ school, which is a public school. It’s not mandatory, but the kids who do bring a Bible are rewarded.
I can’t help but feel that this is just a way for teachers and students to find out who is Christian and who isn’t. I worry that kids who don’t bring a Bible will be discriminated against by fellow students or teachers.
My kids are not Christian, but should I consider sending them with a Bible so they can get the reward and not have to field questions from their friends and teachers? Last year my daughter said that everyone brought Bibles. I’m a very “stand up for what you believe” type person, but my kids just want to appear to fit in and blend into the background. 😩
