“Hall pass” in LDR???

I’m in a long distance relationship and My boyfriend has been mentioning a hall pass. We have been together for 3 years and I have been thinking about it just because being with the same person and being long distance can be hard for both of us. I just don’t know if i want to introduce that to our relationship at the same time I rather us both have a hall pass than cheating on each other or thinking about cheating on each other. There are pros and cons to both sides I just don’t know how I feel about it yet
