test still positive?

had heavy bleeding and severe cramping on 8/29 at 4w3d. had labs done that day and my hcg was 3127! 😲 I go back tomorrow for second labs to confirm miscarriage (I've had one before, I remember how it felt) ,but my tests are still flaming positive! do you think it's just bc my hcg levels were so high and they're just not coming down fast? we already have 2 kids, this baby was not planned , so we'll be ok if it is a miscarriage as bad as that sounds. my miscarriage last year , my tests went negative within a day or so.

I would say its a chemical pregnancy but it's too late for that, maybe it's early miscarriage. You can still get false positives because your body still thinks you're pregnant, but if it was the case then your pt's should come back negative within 2-3 days. Also remember some miscarriages happen for several days
