Dating sites?

I’ve been considering going on a dating site. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 
I feel that the dating pool where I live has “slim picking” I’ve heard good and bad, but I was wanting some opinions. Pros? Cons? What do y’all think?

My advice is the free ones are chocka full of people who just want hook ups. You get a lot of  creeps and weirdos on them. I personally haven’t had any luck i had one date and he wasn’t what his profile or his chats were like, I’ve also been stood up twice by 2 other guys. I’ve seen a couple friends now ex-fellas on them (yes I screenshotted the profiles as proof and told them). Be wary and if something doesn’t seem right block them. 
I do know people who met their future spouses from the free ones like tinder and pof though so I’m not saying it can’t happen. 
In general id say If you do want something more serious than a hook up a paid for site is probably going to be better.

I met my SO on a dating site. Be prepared for a lot if people just looking for sex, people who just doesn't reply, or just want a confirmation that they are attractive.
