Sweep at 38+5 success?

So I had a sweep done yesterday and I definitely had some contractions, but nothing timetable or consistent. I also lost some more of my plug (I lost a majority earlier this week.)

I was 3 cm when my doctor did the sweep, but he told me if it works, it’ll be within 12 hours. Well now it’s been almost 24 hours. He told me he could feel my membranes pushing and could’ve “broke my water no problem.” I had my first baby at 38+3, so I was hoping my second would come around the same time.

Has anyone had success with these sweeps??
