When can you stop waking baby for night feeds?

My baby is 1 month old. I know it’s early now but I’m wondering when I can start not waking her at night to eat anymore 😂 something to countdown to!

Once she’s back to birth weight and gain it healthily you can stop waking her, and let her follow her hunger cues. Hopefully that gives you more sleep!

I never woke mine up, he always made sure to do that for me! But he gained beautifully and was back at his birth weight two weeks after birth I think. He's EBF and sleeps in our room.

Did the doctor tell you to wake the baby to feed? If they didn't then you don't need to. If they did then do it until they say to stop. I never woke my daughter up for anything.

I never had to wake mine since he woke up on his own and was gaining weight just fine. I would talk to your pediatrician since they would know best.

Both my youngest babies slept through the night from 6-7wks they was back to there birth weight and gaining weight just fine. As long as baby doing the same you should be fine to let baby sleep through the night. Just remember whatever feeds baby misses at nighttime they should gain through the day 😊

As soon as they are back to birth weight. My daughter is a week old and we haven’t had to wake her once to feed and she only gets up once a night to eat. She goes to bed about 9 and wakes up around 2-2:30 then not again until 6 when I get her up for the day.

Idk but 8 left it up to my baby... But I am nursing. And it seemed he slowed down around 6 mo he is 9 mo now and still wakes up one to two times a night sometimes...

My baby was almost at birth weight two weeks after (3 oz off), and the doctor said we could stop waking her up at night. She lost about a pound from her birth weight in the hospital, but she was a big baby- 10.1 pounds. So she was in the healthy range for weight loss, but it was still a large amount to gain back- it was fine that she wasn’t quite there after two weeks, she was still gaining an appropriate amount of weight.

My LO did it on her own at about 5 months. She was down to one feeding a night by 8 weeks.
