Is it disrespectful and unsanitary to others to let children ride in grocery carts?

Not in the seat that’s meant for children but in the basket where food goes?

Edit- I’m actually not “bitching” about this I was having a conversation with a friend who thinks it’s unsanitary to let the kids there. I actually could care less and agree that there are probably dirtier things than kids that have been in it. I also would never find it disrespectful and think for people with multiple young children it’s easier to have them there then running around the whole store.

Figure it would be interesting to hear others opinions on this.

And 😬 I didn’t think about the stuff homeless people probably put in there..

Also would you consider disrespectful for a adult or teenager to ride in the basket?
