Bathing my 2 month old

So I have a 2 month old baby girl and up until yesterday I thought I should only give her a bath twice a week max bc babies have very sensitive skin and I didn’t want her skin to dry out or her hair to get dry. I took her to the dermatologist yesterday for a birth mark and she also looked at her cradle cap. She told me that babies should get a bath every day. She said the water/ moisture is good for there skin. Also with the cradle cap she said to use vaseline every day and comb it out. So last night I put Vaseline on her scalp and left it on for maybe 5 min and washed it out. Well now since, her hair is all greasy. I don’t want to use that stuff again. I thought with cradle cap just don’t do anything and it’ll go away on its own. Also has anyone else heard of giving there infant a bath EVERY day? This seems a bit much.
