Weird Question

Has anyone gotten one-sided cramps before (like during ovulation and/or menstruation specifically)? I get them occasionally (normally on my left side), but I’ll often go months without cramping like this. I always associated it with ovulation, but my fertile week was last week, and I’m a week away from the Communists.

My SO mentioned that his mom (who is in her 40s) often gets cramps before her period, which led me to wonder if that’s what my body is doing.

Any thoughts?
