Should I have a baby shower?

So, I'm a second time mom, my first born just turned 16 months on 9/20, I still have ALL the big items(crib bouncer, walker etc) so, I'm just curious as to if I should have a second baby shower/registry for this baby only  for clothes and diapers and reviving blankets since I'm having a girl..

Depends on the culture in your family/friend group. Where I live, it’s not typical/can be perceived of as greedy (not saying at all that’s true). Sometimes people will have a “sprinkle” where they just ask for diapers and wipes and celebrate with food. That’s usually received better. But again, that’s just the custom where I live.

I would say make a registry and if anyone asks if you have one then you can say yes and point them there. Some people will always gift for a new baby so might as well get stuff you want. 
Otherwise it does depend on your group. I wouldn't mind a sprinkle/diaper shower as an excuse to get everyone together and celebrate. Also could do a sip&see where people come over after baby is born and then they get to meet the baby. 
In my tradition we don't do baby showers or prepare at all before birth, so we had a sip&see with the first and will do it again with the second.

Unpopular opinion here: I think it’s tacky. Especially when the kids are so close in age.

Now the new “sprinkle” thing I think is acceptable. 
Have a smaller party where you don’t register but if people ask you can say Godt cards to “x” would be appreciated or size 2 diapers in “x” brand would be appreciated.

I was kinda wondering the same.  My son will be alittle over 3-1/2 years old when my other son or daughter is born :). I know I’ll need another crib ( as my sons turned into his big bed) but other then that just diapers and wipes as I have most of the items besides clothes( if it’s a girl) if it’s a  it I’m set for everything minus the crib.    Thinking maybe instead of a full shower might have a sprinkle :) because I know my parents or in laws wil get the crib. Then it’s just clothing left .... not sure if we are going to find out what we are having so could get the gender neutral clothing I guess.

I'm in the same boat. I have a son who will be just over 2 when I have my second. I'm planning on having a gender reveal party and to celebrate both of the kids. I am making a very small registry because I know people will ask if I need anything so I can just tell them after they ask as opposed to putting it on an invitation you know?

Maybe have a diaper shower since you have some stuff still.
