If you didn’t have gestation diabetes with your first, are you at a lower risk for your second pregnancy ?

If you DID NOT have GD with your first
1) are you at a lower risk of getting it with your second?
2) do you have to be tested for it?

You get tested no matter what. 
I didn’t have GD with my first but I do with mine currently.

I didn't have it with my first two. I was just diagnosed yesterday with it this time :/

I think your risk is the same? If you have it in one pregnancy, your risks are higher in subsequent pregnancies, but I don’t think not having it necessarily lowers your risk because each pregnancy is different. 
I had GD in 1 out of 4 pregnancies.  I had no risk factors.

You are at slightly lower risk, but each pregnancy is different so yes you need to be tested. I had GD 2 of my 4 pregnancies.
