Do twins run in your family?

My hubby already has a set of boy girl twins, I tested at 11dpo and had a positive. I’ve always been told that it shows up fast with twins, (idk if that’s true). Twins do not run in my family. Trying to gauge my chances lol

Twins that are only influenced by genetics from the maternal side (fraternal twins). Your chances are just as high as everyone else if they don’t run on your side. Identical twins are completely random.

Twins run on my side of the family (only side that counts) but I’m having identical twins so obviously no influence due to history since identical twins are a fluke. Also 11 dpo isn’t early. I got a faint positive at 8 dpo but it honestly means nothing. No scientific proof there.

My mother’s sister, my aunt had Fraternal Twins. I’m now as well expecting twins (assuming fraternal because there’s two gestational sacks, but hasn’t been confirmed yet by a doctor what set they are) . I tested positive a week after I conceived, tested only because I could smell everything and knew something was off. Was shocked to see all three tests pop up positive right away, and dark. I honestly thought I was further along, but couldn’t understand it because I had my period before hand although it was irregular. I’m seven weeks now, I’m tired, sore and I look as though I’m five months pregnant, and when I look into the fridge I have to run to the bathroom and get sick. For me everything is literally double. Thankful for my babies though. 🙏🏼
