Cervical bleeding, not pregnant

I know for a fact I am not pregnant or ovulating and I am not close to having my period. My daughter is now 2 years old. But I bleed almost every time I have sex. This has never happened to me before. It’s started within the last two months and it’s getting worse. I went to my doctor and they checked for STD’s, fibroids, and polyps and it’s none of those. She said she barely touched my cervix and it started bleeding pretty bad. She was concerned and took a swab and immediately looked under the microscope but came back and said there were no obvious signs of infection. They are treating it as an abnormal pap and sending it off for more testing.

Has this happened to anyone else? Was it nothing? I looked on Dr. Google and that was a rabbit hole I should have never gone down and now I’m super worried.
