How do you cope after finding out you have a STD??

I found out today I have herpes. I'm in a new relationship and he didn't take the news well. I feel so disgusting and mortified I don't know what to do with myself 
Any advice ?

Three years later and it still shocks me everytime I get an outbreak.... you’ll have that partner that will stick around and don’t take them for granted. Above else, take care of yourself. Notice the signs ahead of time so you can prevent a spread!

I don’t have herpes but got chlamydia a couple years ago. It was embarrassing and I told the guy I was sleeping with. He didn’t take the news too badly but I still felt awful knowing that I had caught something. The best thing to do would be to research and know how to handle outbreaks. The right person will come along one day and they won’t make you feel disgusting.
