Just found out im 8 weeks pregnant and I got called for MTA police..my family is telling me dont tell them Im pregnant because they may disqualified me but what do I do this is my career job and If i let this go then I wont have the chance anymore... will they accommodate me for being pregnant and make me do other work but i doubt it since i will be on probation for a year .

They cannot turn you down because you are pregnant-its against the law! They can provide accommodation of course! Many females are in that field and obviously they get pregnant at some time or another!😄

It’s illegal for them to “fire” you for being pregnant. It’s discrimination and it’s a lawsuit if they do. Some girl sued AutoZone (retail auto parts store) for the same thing and won 3.8 million.

Also, if you're unionized, you get a promised certain amount of maternity leave. Rn they are going back and forth about increasing accommodation for pregnant women be as well as how long a leave paid or unpaid a woman will get.
