Am I just dumb??

So I’ve been single a little over a year now, the 1st 2 months after my breakup I was getting over him, then the next 4 months I wanted to work on myself & find happiness on my own and not go searching for it from just any guy, which I did find myself and was glad to do so.

So then I started dating again, I’ve been on a few dates in the last few months and they seem to go well...but then by the 2nd meeting the guys just want me to come over to their house...and I know what that means, I just don’t get why it always ends up like this for me. And if I decline & offer us to do something else other than go to their house they get distant & then we just stop talking all together. What should I do? I’m trying to take things slower, get to know the guys & go out a few times b4 trying to do all that. Like am I doing this dating thing wrong?? 😅 any tips or your experience would help!
