It can. While sex isn’t the most important thing, it’s definitely still an important aspect of a healthy relationship for most people. So, if the people involved aren’t on the same page & aren’t trying to fix whatever issues are happening, then it can definitely cause major problems & even break the relationship. This is why it’s very important to have open, honest communication & discuss these things early on, and again if problems ever do arise over time.

People often want to feel needed and desired in that area. So yeah it does. Whether it “should” or not is just subjective. I think it’s easy to say it shouldn’t matter that much, but when it’s affecting your self esteem, it’s hard to not be bothered by it. And some people just want to have a lot of sex. They have a high sex drive. I think sexual comparability is very important. I don’t think I could be with someone with a low sex drive because I am not like that.

I guess it could but for me it's not that important. I never really understood the people that say sex is one of the most important things in a relationship like some of the people above. I just don't understand. Sex to me is like a bonus, the real important stuff is trust and communication and good time spent together. 
If sex were going to break my relationship I think it already would have. I have no sex drive so the sex is probably lackluster and we had a 3 way, much against the advice of everyone on this app that says not to do it with someone you care about lol

If it’s really what both parties or one want or need then yes. Some people need sex to feel intimate and to feel a sense of trust together. Of course it all depends on the situations and people involved.

Absolutely. I have a very high sex drive and like to experiment. My ex had almost no sex drive and only like missionary.  It was not the reason our relationship ended but it definitely was a big problem.

Absolutely. I tend to want sex more often than my husband. I have always had a high sex drive and with four little babies at home sex is the only thing that helps me de-stress and it also is the only thing that gives me that intimacy that I need from my husband. To some people it isn’t important but you should know going into a relationship how important it really is to that person. I had surgery right after we had our last daughter and couldn’t have was for 12 weeks and it was so hard on our relationship because I felt like we were very distant from each other but like I said, I am one of those people that need sex in a relationship otherwise you just feel like a friend to me.
