Unappreciated

Do you ever compare your own friendships to others’? I have close friends who constantly hang out with their other close friends but never make a point to spend time with me. I try to hang out with my friends but every time I make plans they say EVERY TIME “I’m busy” or “no I’m with this person today”. Even when it’s planned in advance. There’s people I’ve just stopped asking to hang out bc they always say no for one reason or another.

I just feel like I put way too much effort into my friendships for the little amount of effort I’m getting out of it. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t do things for my friends because I expect something back. I love my friends and I do things because I know it will make them happy. But sometimes it would be nice if someone did the same thing for me. And it kills me knowing that they have friendships that they’ll put their heart and soul into but don’t think much about ours. Sometimes it hits me and today it hit me hard. Sad girl hours 🥺
