Do you truly enjoy your job or do you do it just to pay the bills ?

I’m interested to see what everyone works as do you truly enjoy your job or do you do it just to pay the bills. I’m 21 and struggling with finding what career move I want to make so I’d love to hear some stories about your career what you do and do you truly enjoy it. Has anyone ever had a moment in there life that they feel like there in a dead end when it comes to there career. I’m thinking about going back to college but I feel too old going back.

I’m very frustrated with my career because I’m 23 and I had started working at 21 right out of college in a very starter-position that I knew wasn’t permanent or longterm at all. A few months ago I got my first promotion to what I thought was my dream job. Idk, I’m still not happy 😣🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel like I would jump at the opportunity to stop working, though I don’t know what I’d do instead. Everyone keeps saying do what you love, do what you want to do, and I’m like ok but I always thought THIS was what I wanted to do. I don’t know where to go from here. Idk, I guess I don’t have the best advice lol, I’m just trying to make the best of it for now and hoping that my husband can start making enough money for me to at least switch to part time once we have kids

You are not too old to go back to college. I started back at 21 and the other students don't even realize that I'm older. The first time I went to school was to become a nurse and it was a huge mistake. The health care industry is not nice to nurses. Now I'm going to school for computer science. It is a lot less stressful. Programming is hard but very fun. I will also make more money in this field.

You feel too old to go back? Youre 21! Im 29, almost 30 and im going back. Ive been a caregiver for 4 years, a cna for 1 year! Doesnt pay enough. Im going back to be a nurse.

I am a dental assistant. The job is stressful if you have family to take care of. The hours and not very family friendly. I work 7 hrs 2 days a week, and 13 hrs 3 days a week. My family has to help in taking my son home from kindergarten because most days I am at work from 7 am to 8.30 pm. The pay is good though, good enough for the 3 of us to live comfortably  and I have the weekends off. My husband is in mobile phone sales, he works 10 hrs every day, most weeks 6 days. Some weeks only 5 days. But his weekends are rarely free so we dont see each other much. But his pay combined with mine makes us not have to live paycheck to paycheck like we have had to for the last years.

I finally got a job that I enjoy for the most part. The fact that it pays pretty well helps with that too though.
I don't know if it's where I want to be for the rest of my working life but for now it fits our needs and I enjoy it.

i do freelance ux/ui and graphic design, and paralegal work for my aunt's law firm. i love it! i really enjoy design and learning about how people interact with inorganic inventions and how to make things user friendly to a wide variety of people. i specialise in design for backend engineers so it's tough but so fun! and when i hit a creative roadblock, i just play some games to clear my mind lol. 
for paralegal work, it's not nearly as riveting but i get to learn about real cases. i want to go into law (at least for a bit before i have to take over as successor for my family's corporations) so the paralegal work gives me some hands on experience since i'm not qualified to be a legal intern. 
i'm not always in love w my job but i like doing what i do most of the time and that's good enough for me lol

I’m a library associate but I’m going back to grad school next year so I can be a librarian. I love my job and feel terrible for anyone who doesn’t at least enjoy what they do.

I love my job but find it very boring at times. And because of that I also hate it. Because of that depending on how I’m feeling I either go to work because I’m ready to be there... or I go to work because I just need to pay my bills
