Dandruff remedies? Home or shampoo

Any one have any recommendations how to get rid of dandruff. Weather home remedies or shampoo that work for you. And if so how did u use it once a week once a day ect

Neutrogena tgel is my go to when my scalp gets itchy. It’s not exactly a dandruff shampoo but works. It leaves a residue on my hair so I generally only use it once a week.

Apple cider vinegar. I put it in a squeeze bottle and squirt it on my hair before shampooing when i was dealing with hair loss, dandruff, itchy scalp, etc when I was postpartum with my first. It balances the ph of your scalp.

I second apple cider vinegar! A lot of the dandruff shampoos are very harsh on your hair and will cause dry/brittleness. ACV balances your scalps PH, is anti bacterial and anti fungal
plus it seals your hairs cuticles which keeps in moisture. Pretty much treats all causes of dandruff.

I've used Nizoral. It's kinda pricey but it has an antifungal in it and it's the only thing that truly works for me. Head and shoulders makes mine worse and causes scabs. Haven't used that in forever. It has sulfate and other ingredients that arent so great. If u have psoriasis of the scalp a lot if times for women it is due to a build up of yeast in our bodies so get some good probiotics to take also. Sometimes it's simply due to too much white starch and bad yeast in the body.

I use Head and Shoulders brand shampoo when it flares up. I usually just rotate shampoos each time I shop, so if I start having dandruff I’ll buy H&S and use it until the next time I need to buy shampoo. I always notice a difference after the first few washes so it would probably be fine to alternate with your regular shampoo. I prefer the H&S that’s not a two in one so I buy the separate shampoo and conditioner version.
