I dunno what to do... marriage is hard

Been married for 1.5 yrs, had baby in feb,

In March, I found out hubs was messaging his friend from the gym beautiful and sexy, and you look best with out anything on, he claimed he was talking about makeup. He first denied any messages and acted like i didn’t know what i was talking about. Then he said oh you mean those messages?! He continued saying oh that’s nothing, she’s just a friend, those words mean nothing...

So stupid me, I didn’t quite believe the explanation but I gave him another chance because I want this to work.

In October I found another message to a diff girl, and more messages this week. I can’t recover all the message history, so I can’t be sure if more happened between him and these girls other than flirty messages. When i confronted him again, he acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. Then he said oh you’re talking about that one message, oh that’s nothing, and gave me another bs explanation. I told him I’m close to filing for divorce, i can’t imagine why he would message anyone like that again after he saw how I fell apart the first time. He continued to say he’s never cheated, he only loves me and wants to be with me, puts it on the baby.

This situation is driving me crazy. I’ve even considered hiring a PI to see what he really does at the gym. I’ve looked into how to install spy apps on his phone so I can see everything he messages. He did admit to deleting messages so the kids that borrow his phone to play games dont see. Which come to think of it, makes me more suspicious. One snap history i saw was a video clip of some girl showing her cleavage and him replying heart 😍emojis.

I’m writing all this to vent and to get some validation. Am I going crazy? Am I handling this wrong? I feel like trust is everything and I don’t think I can trust him now. But do I give him another chance to prove himself or just let it go?
