Fate or luck? Little long sorry

I'm not sure if I believe in fate but I'm not sure I don't. My hubby and I met on the small chance that we used the same app and were in the same location even though we lived an hour apart. He drives truck and drove past my town often, he saw me on nearby people and messaged me. We clicked because we both dealt with a long term relationship ending. There were feelings instantly. He helped me with a 9 year relationship ending when I had 2 kids with my ex and I helped him with his 8 year relationship ending when he has 2 with his ex. We had both been single a few months before finding eachother. I'd like to think it was meant to happen but I'm not sure if it was just luck. We have so much in common it was like right place right time. We have been happy ever since. What do you ladies think? Do you think things happen as they are meant to or we just happened to find eachother and it could have easily been anyone else?
