Transvaginal Ultrasounds

I miscarried two days after my second transvaginal ultrasound. The doctor who did the US spent a lot of time looking and measuring and it hurt a lot more than my first one. I ended up needing a d&c and the pathology report said everything was normal, so no good explanation for my miscarriage. I feel like I hear a lot of stories about women getting a transvaginal US and then getting cramps and having a miscarriage. I think its probably just coincidence and transvaginal US is totally safe, but I’m just curious what other people think.
