Just three months ago, I was an addict. Homeless. Lived in a van for 2 years. With an extension cord powering a tv and space heater.

My ex allowed me to Live like this. He is an addict too. Punched me in the face when I tried to leave him.. gave me a black eye.

I was sick. I lost 90 lbs.

I couldn't live life cause I had to be high.

I was always depressed. I was miserable. But I never saw my life as a sober person. I was in denial. I was addicted to spice. I never saw it as any worse than weed!! But I couldn't even stay awake longer than an hour. Was always nodding out and passing out. I couldn't keep a job and he wouldn't work. Claimed he was "too sick" for it. I took care of him for years until I was so deep into addiction that i couldn't.

Let's fast forward a bit. He kicked me out. Left me in an empty apartment, saying he was going to call the police on me! Then, my rescuer came..

I'm now almost 3 months clean. I have a spacious one bedroom apartment with him and our furbaby, a pitbull. (Ive always dreamed of having a pit!!)

I just got my permit. I wasn't allowed to drive before. My ex wouldn't let me have my license. I'm 24 years old.

I'm finally, completely happy and sober and I love every minute of it!
