My brother in law crashed my car

What would you guys do? I had surgery on Monday and I was planning to stay at my dads for 2 weeks since he doesn’t have to work and could take care of me. Well... my husband had his brother and cousins over and I think they were drinking.

His brother took my car and crashed it. He is 17-18 years old and he says he doesn’t have money to pay me and he would do it once he starts working,

Me and my husband don’t have enough money to fix the car, and we use my car for the snow and because it’s safer for the baby. What would you guys do? My car is not totaled but it looks pretty bad.
