Night sweats

My husband sweats terribly at night- no matter how hot or cold our house is. He only sleeps in boxers and we don’t have excessive covers on our bed. Some nights it’s so bad that I wake up thinking he has wet the bed 🙁 is there anything I can do to help him from getting so hot at night? He’s not much of a sweater during the day time, not even while he’s working. Has anyone else experienced this?
