No desire to get married

My boyfriend of 5 years revealed today that he has no desire to get married. He said his only motivation would be just to make me happy. I believe there should be more than that. I desire to be married and in the beginning and throughout the relationship he said he did as well. We don’t talk marriage often or anything. I’m just surprise and don’t know what to do or what that means for us. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance for helping me make sense of this.
