Dry drowning

My 10 month old has a new hatred for bath time. He fights me like a dog to get out. I was holding his arm while soaping him up and he slipped face first into the water in the middle of crying and invested some water. He layer him on his tummy and patted him until he coughed some. I’m afraid of dry drowning. He wasn’t in the water for more than 3 seconds. Is he okay or should I take him in? He’s just fussing because he’s tired and upset (hates baths and it’s his usual bedtime now.) he’s acting normal, fussing in between laughs and yelling at us. He’s been burping and eating fine.
