Babyled weaning?

His dad was cleaning some bottles so he could make one for the little guy, so I gave him a banana to keep him happy and occupied while waiting. He figured out what it was pretty quick and oh my goodness he was so determined. Just went to town on it. 
We usually do purées but I’m thinking he may enjoy blw so we may have to do both. Does anyone else do purées and blw? Or just blw? How is your baby doing with blw and do you have any tips?

My daughter tried a few homemade purees and she loved them for a few days then lost interest so I stopped. She then started to grab food off plates so we started baby led a few days ago...
Carrots, brocoli, turkey and Yorkshire pudding...

And sweet potato and melon today 😊...

She's a monster when it comes to food now 😂

I do both... blw and purées. Mine is actually not drinking his bottles as well anymore because he wants food... ugh!!! Little chunker- ya got until 1 with bottles!!

I do purees first because i like the bonding from it, once i see my baby has the ability to use their tongue to push foods to the side and chew i switch to BLW. 
Which i love because then they just eat what you eat, when you eat.

My girl tried purées carrots and hated it so I’m going to get blw, see if she takes to that differently.

What is blw? Never heard of it

My sons 6 months and besides purées the only BLW things he’s eaten is eggs. He ate some small soft pieces of scrambled eggs himself the other day.

You can’t do BLW and purées. One or the other. If you wanna switch from purée to BLW wait a couple weeks in between
