So I missed my period . I’m not pregnant But it’s got me thinking. ￼What happens to your cycle when you missed a period? Do you have an ovulation period just like you would if you had your regular period or are you just having a ￼kind of extended cycle?

It is not possible to say. Every women and every missed cycle is different. 
You may miss ovulation, your ovulation may be later, or you might have ovulated on time. Your next menstruation may arrive when you expect it, or sooner, or you may have another missed menstruation.
When you miss your menstruation the 3rd time in a row, it is time to see your doctor, unless it is in the first 2 or 3 years after you started your menstruation.
