Birth control after pregnancy

So I had my son 2 months ago and started my birth control at 6 weeks postpartum, next week I should be starting the last row of my birth control pills (the sugar pills) and I’m wondering if I’ll get my period right away or is there a possibility of it not coming yet because my body is still adjusting? Any mommy’s that have used the pills after pregnancy let me know your experience!
