haha I’m confused help

okay so me and this guy have been talking and hanging out. It’s finals week but I asked if he was busy or not and and he said if he finished an assignment he could come hang. So that’s completely fine I understand that but he never got back to me that whole day about it. So I assumed that just meant he didn’t finish it but I just thought it was rude and out of character for him to just not tell me. It made me feel like he was avoiding hanging out with me. I don’t know I’m just overthinking it or not though bc he still talks to me like normal but it’s just weird?? People tell I’m just overthinking it lol I actually like him 🥺
