Night potty training- is my mom nuts?

My LO is 22 months, we started potty training (just day time) almost 3 months ago & he has done great! He’s fully trained for the day, but it’s not even on my radar right now to worry about nap & night yet.... but my mom keeps bringing it up! 
Multiple times she’s asked about if he’s “still” using diapers at night, etc. I’m like for one... he’s 1 year old! And he’s still in a crib, I don’t feel like I would try to get him out of night diapers until he’s in a big bed & can get up if he needs to go. I’m a FTM & she’s had 3 kids, plus babysat/ nannied lots of others, so I feel like she knows what she’s talking about usually, but on this I kinda think she’s being crazy 😝. 
Right? Did you night train at the same time you day trained? How old were your kids when they night trained?

If you have him completely Day time trained I would personally at the very least be in pull ups at night and making a routine of going potty once or twice right before bed and slowing down fluids before bed

No, I did not night train my first two right away. I waited until they were old enough and out of their cribs.

My son is 2 years and 7 months and he's been going potty for the past 2 months. A couple of weeks or so before that he stopped having milk at night and stayed dry all night so once he started potty training I took him off diapers at night as well. He never wakes up to go at night and rarely has an accident. I guess he's got good bladder control. But, he still refuses to poop in the toilet. He'll ask me to put a diaper on for that lol. I'm not worried about it though, pretty sure he'll start when he's ready ☺ So I think if your little one is still nursing at night/waking up wet then he probably isn't ready yet. Nothing to stress about, he's still really young

My son is 2 1/2 he’s been potty trained since 25 months through the day. 
I never focused on the nights he just naturally stayed dry at night after a month or so... he still wears a pull up as occasionally let a little bit slip when he first wakes up. Goes for a wee last thing before bed after his story so he’s literally just been, he has milk with supper so has always had a drink in the last hour before sleep.  
I was told nighttime dryness is actually a hormone that kicks in once daytime toilet training is achieved and with boys this can be quite a bit later on. I don’t think it’s anything you need to worry about just yet x

My daughter was completely potty trained by the time she was two and I did both day and night training almost together. I think it depends a lot on the child. Does he wake up dry in the morning or does he have a full diaper? If he is dry or almost you could think about try to night train but if he always wakes up with a full diaper then he definitely isn't ready. 
If you do decide to night train, one idea that I saw on IG that might be helpful is to put a potty on an absorbent mat right next to their bed so they don't need to go far to use the potty as soon as they wake up.

My LO has been daytime potty trained for almost a year, but still needs pull-ups at night. She’ll be 3 in March and I don’t think she’s physically ready to stay dry over night. We kind of limit fluids before bed, but it’s difficult because dinner is so close to bedtime, and she has a little potty right next to her bed (that she has never used), but she still wakes up with a soaked pull-up. She just doesn’t wake up when she pees and it doesn’t bother her, therefore it doesn’t bother me.

My son was potty trained around 2.5. We did night training a month later but he was in a bed. He didn’t get up in the night to use the bathroom though.

Kids that young don’t have subconscious control of themselves yet to not wet the bed. Don’t stress. My 3 year old still has pull ups for night time. Even if we slow fluid intake she still goes at night. 1 hear old potty trained is great tho!! Congrats on that feat!! 👏🏻
