First IUI/Femara

Hello 👋🏻

I started my first cycle with IUI. I took 2.5mg of Femar for 5 days and began testing ovulation on CD11. I got my surge on an opk on CD17. Unfortunately, my Best Friend’s wedding fell on CD18, so I was unable to do my IUI procedure 😢

Well I also stopped testing for ovulation thinking I missed my opportunity. However, AF didn’t show up until CD40. I went in to see my fertility doctor to try again this month, and due to the length of time between my positive opk and the start of my period, she decided to double my dose of Femara. This was a new doctor who didn’t take the time to help me understand why that would shorten the time between ovulation and AF? Anyone have any ideas?

I feel like she was a little reckless in deciding this and now I may have quads or something 😂 Not that that would be the worst thing, but any simplistic stories would help me rest easier!
