First Appointment at 15 Weeks!

I’ve been having ongoing issues with insurance since I found out I was pregnant. This ultimately resulted in me not getting coverage until January 1st. My first doctors appointment won’t be until 1/2/20 at which point I will be 15 weeks pregnant. I’ve been having fairly normal pregnancy symptoms and no unusual bleeding, but I’m still a little stressed about having to wait so long. Has anyone else had to, or chose to, wait until the second trimester for their first appointment and was everything okay?
