failed induction/c section

After a whole day of laboring and only getting to 4cm my Dr decided to do a c section because my baby was becoming distressed it was the most painful thing I've EVER experienced I felt like I was having a baby naturally while having a c section ( if that makes any sense ) I begged them to sedate me and they finally gave me Demerol I was completely out of it while I was at the hospital I was awake most of the time I just can't remember anything has anyone else experienced this ? I feel like I'm slowly forgetting my whole experience.
