Should I make it official?

So I've been having sex with a friend... Who I really like, but I just dont know if making us official is worth it or not. He lives in a town called Julian with his parents, and he wants to buy a house there and continue the rest of his life there... I'm a sophomore in college and I want to move to Seattle after I graduate... which is literally the opposite end of the country. I've already discussed with him why I think we shouldn't become girlfriend and boyfriend, and he understands... But I still really like him. My heart says make it official, my mind says why start something that'll end in a few years anyway...
