I had my IUD removed and been on hormonal birth control for 4 months, switched to a different type of generic for Ortho Tri Cyclen 2 months ago because I switched pharmacies and they didn’t carry my old generic (I was originally on Norgee when I got my IUD out and got my first period, then switched to TriEstarylla). The first 2 months, when I was on Norgee, I had normal periods. Since I got on TriEstarylla last period was completely brown. Normal bleeding and normal symptoms, just brown blood. Really odd but I thought it was just the hormones, I never really had brown spotting unless it was the end of my period when I was on hormonal birth control for the first time 7 years ago. This morning my period started and it was the normal red color so i thought it was just something weird that happened last month. However later on today it turned from red to brown again.

I’m not pregnant so it’s no ectopic pregnancy or anything that google suggests and this is my actual period, not just spotting or breakthrough bleeding. Only difference is that my period is brown instead of bright or dark red. Healthy woman with no abnormalities in my last check up 4 months ago.

Anyone had this happen to them or experience this before?
