Postpartum pain
Little bit of the back story. Had my first baby on Oct 23rd (10.5 weeks ago). LO was a big baby weighing 8lbs 10oz. I had a third degree tear and a hefty amount of stitches! At about 3 weeks pp I was starting to feel like I was getting back to my normal self, then randomly at 4 weeks pp my pain increasingly got worse. I made an appointment with my dr and she discovered granulation tissue had formed, so she used silver nitrate to remove it. She also had to cut a small amount where my stitches were to relive some tension. I started to feel much better after that, but only for about a week. Now I feel just like I did before I went in at 4 weeks pp. I made another appointment and was told everything looks normal. Why am I still in so much pain?? It feels raw, and my scar feels like it going to tear open anytime I cough, sneeze, laugh, etc. I’m supposed to return to work as an EMT in 6 weeks and I haven’t been able to do any strenuous exercise. I just feel like I’m never going to feel better at this point.
