How long did u wait to go out after birth?

Wondering how long do I have to wait to start going out with baby?

Besides the doctors appointment after birth, my husband and I went to dinner with him when he was about a week old.

For fun outings/dinners out, we waited until after our daughter had her first shots. Other than that it was just must have grocery shopping and appointments.

I went to the laundry mat maybe a little less than a week after he was born. Just make sure baby is dressed appropriately for the weather and preferably covered up since people around are sick. There’s no set time where you can or can’t go outside. It’s just about taking the necessary precautions before you do.

He had a 6 days NICU stint lol, since he was a preemie born during the winter we waited until he was about 3 weeks old. Had it been warmer or at least not flu season we’ve been at Target the day we got discharged 😂.

40 days!!! I was dying lol Mexican beliefs think the mother and baby shouldn’t leave till 40 days after birth other than dr appointments was the only time I got freedom. & I couldn’t escape cause mother in law lol
