hearing tests?

My 1 year old was born June 28th, 2018 at 10:25 pm.
they came into the room to do both of his hearing tests and he’s failed both. when he was 3 months he had tubes put in his ears, he is now 1. he still has failed his hearing tests. but he hears me and my husband fine! i don’t understand. can anybody tell me if they have anything similar??

He might be hearing you or has learned to recognize your voices so he can respond to you more easily than hearing tests. Failing the hearing tests is not a diagnosis of anything, give him time and follow the recommendations of the doctors for follow up tests or proposed treatment for best results. 
One of my sons failed one of his hearing tests because he refused to pay attention in order to do it, they found a different way to test him that kept his interest and he passed just fine. Some kids just need a slightly different method of testing,
