Where to start (working on pp body)

I’m not sure what exercises I should really be doing to help tone my stomach. I’m doing cardio every day, running on treadmill, stair master, elliptical, but I heard doing sit ups is bad if you have the ab separation from pregnancy. I really wanna tone my stomach up. Anyone know what I should be doing?
