Precipitous labor 😳

He

Hi all I’m just looking for some advice and stories I’m due to speak to the hospital next week regarding birth but I wanted to hear some stories from you as to what you may have experienced.

So my first labour was only three hours and five minutes long from first contraction to holding my son he was born back to back so I made it to the hospital with him but my second labour was 28minutes from first contraction to holding him, Ihe was born in his waters and I gave birth at home alone with my 2year old and the ambulance took a further 45minutes to arrive after he was born. I then had complications delivering my placenta as my contractions had stop and I was going into shock. I gave birth at 39weeks with both of them and I’m currently 32weeks with my third baby.

I am in Ireland so they do not check for cervix dilation or effacement until 40weeks I believe. So I’m just curious that if you have experienced precipitous labour once or multiple times before what we’re the suggestions or interventions used for you? As I am currently getting anxious about another delivery which could be faster and may not be as lucky with outcome 🙈 thanks in advance
