Bi Nationality wedding!!

Lauren

Hi! My fiancé and I are planning to get married by the end of the year, the only problem is I’m French and he’s Irish and we’re living in Ireland.

We both would like a small wedding but a little party to celebrate after all. The only issue is my family doesn’t know a word of English and his family doesn’t know a word of French.

I think it could be a great thing to gather our immediate family to celebrate our wedding but I don’t want to be the translator for the day and having that extra pressure on our wedding day. I can’t even imagine how awkward it would be to have celebrate while people can’t communicate without each other without my presence, and has we both have divorced parents it’s already gonna be awkward within each side of the family so we’re kinda hoping that someone could give us some advice.

Has anybody been in that position or have any advice?

Should we not invite family at all and just do it the two of us and just our witnesses?

Please guys we need help!!
